Scrapbook Party Winners

Happy Friday everybody! Just a quick post today to congratulate the winners of our International Scrapbook party and thank all who participated and uploaded your layouts. I had a blast co-hosting this with Clare and I hope to work with her together soon on another joint venture:)

Random.org selected Moira G. as the winner of week 3 and also as the overall winner of the party! Congratulations Moira and beautiful layouts once again by all!

I have to make this brief as my Grandson Jaxon arrived yesterday morning and I'm off once again to the hospital to spend some cuddle time!

Please check out Clare's blog post for more info on our party wrap-up and pics.

This little guy is waiting on me:)

Hope you have a great weekend!!

International Scrapbooking Party with Clare and Cathy - Week 3

Hi again! It's Friday and time for our last sketch in this third week of our International Scrapbooking Party. We hope you've had fun with the sketches and found time to scrapbook along with us! Many thanks again to those who uploaded their layouts to the gallery and shared your beautiful layouts with us!

The winner of week 2 selected by Random.org is Sarah from the UK. Congratulations Sarah! We'll email you about your goodies and your name will go forward into our overall draw on March 25th.

Here is Sarah's layout:

And here is our Week 1 winner Cathy Lu's layout:

Beautiful entries from everyone and we really appreciate you all sharing them with us!

This week, we're using the double layout sketch above with the theme of "cities". Clare and I worked with the new Graphic45 Cityscapes papers with Clare's on the left side showcasing her boys at the Olympics (what an awesome opportunity to go to the Olympics!!), mine on the right showcasing this amazing city. I really can't tell you how much fun it's been scrapbooking these past few weeks and having these layouts with Clare work so well together from thousands of miles apart. It was only fitting to have London as the theme of our layout :-)  Here's our page pics:

Come on and join in the party this last week by choosing one side of the sketch above, taking a pic and uploading it via the blue frog link below by midnight March 24th GMT. (7:00PM EST on March 24th). Our last weekly winner will be announced on Friday, March 25th as well as our overall winner too.

If you haven't scrapbooked a layout in a while, you should give it a try again! It was really fun!

This week, we're using the sketch above with the theme of "the sea". Clare and I chose the gorgeous new Graphic45 Voyage Beneath the Sea papers and flipped the sketch on the left side to create this double page spread. Here's our page pics:

8 1/2" x 11" Mon Amour Album

Hope everyone's enjoying their weekend! I've just finished a new album using the Graphic45 Mon Amour collection. This is an 8 1/2" x 11" album and a bit of a different take on my previous albums. The design of this one was inspired by my Ladies Diary planner HERE . I wanted to expand on this design and make it work for photos and memory keeping. I really love the results and can see this album working with many paper collections.

There's lots of interactive elements and a small mini-album that tucks inside of a box feature which would be great as a stand alone mini or gift.

I've reduced the supplies needed in this album to just one of the 8x8 paper pads and one of the 6x6 patterns and solids paper pads in the collection, but did use my usual embellishments. Way less magnets in this one as well.

I've also done things a little differently with the tutorial on this album given that it's slightly less involved than my previous albums. I've combined both a PDF tutorial and video tutorial that are each step-by-step walking through the entire construction from start to finish.

The tutorial is available HERE in my Etsy shop.

A video of this album can be found HERE.

If you haven't checked out the scrapbook party going on over the next few weeks with myself and Clare Charvill,  come check out all the details HERE. We'd love to have you join us and upload your layouts to the gallery. Lots of giveaways over the next few weeks, so get scrapping and get your entry in there!

International Scrapbooking Party with Clare and Cathy - Week 1

Hi Everyone! We hope you've been enjoying a crafty week. Some of you may know that Monday was the start of International Craft month and today we're celebrating International Scrapbooking Day. I'm really excited to be joining up with the fabulously talented Graphic45 UK Ambassador Clare Charvill and together we are launching a scrapbooking party for you to take part in too.

Over the next three weeks we'll be sharing a scrapbook sketch with you on our blogs and FB pages and asking you to join in the party by creating your own scrapbook page following the sketch and theme of the week. As we're both Graphic45 addicts we chose papers from the World's Fair collection for our first double page layout. We took a page each with Clare's layout on the left side and mine on the right, rotating the sketch 180 degrees, and worked with different sized papers and colors to create our double page layout that captures the memory of afternoon tea together at Harrods, London, England last summer.

Here's our page pics:

We'd love you to join in the party too and create a lovely layout following the sketch above.

This week's theme is "Friends".

The rules are pretty simple:

Choose your colors, use any papers, give your layout a title and a date, take a picture and upload it via the link below to share your page with us all. Add the country you're from in the description to make this a truly International party too.

We'll be sharing two more sketches and new themes with you on Friday March 11th and Friday March 18th - so more fun to come!

Random.org will choose a weekly winner on Clare's blog and also announced here on my blog. The weekly winner will receive a tutorial from Clare at MyCreativeSpirit and a tutorial of your choice from my SoMuchScrap Etsy shop. Our three weekly winners will go into a final draw. The overall winner will receive a selection of goodies from the Mycreativespirit website and 3 tutorials of your choice from my Etsy shop.
